Speaker, Author, Advocate

Jill Sitnick has spent 25 years studying one question: why do smart, capable people stay stuck?

She started in the classroom — a decade teaching high school English, then moved to training teachers and leading graduate courses. That work took her to Microsoft, where she presented to education teams and supported school districts across the country, and later to Amazon. Along the way, she earned a Master of Science in Instructional Technology and became a certified executive coach.

But the real turning point was personal. Jill’s own healing journey led her to the neuroscience of trauma — and to the discovery that most of what holds people back started long before their first job. She developed the Heal the Moment Method to give leaders and teams a practical framework for breaking those patterns for good.

Jill doesn’t just talk about healing. She’s lived it. And she brings that into every room she enters and stages at TEDx and PsyCon. Connect with her on LinkedIn.

No one escapes childhood. Not your leaders. Not your team. Not you.

The teammate who shuts down in conflict. The leader who controls everything. The high performer who is one bad quarter away from collapse. These aren’t personality flaws. They’re childhood survival strategies that are still running the show, hijacking the present moment from the inside.

Jill Sitnick’s Heal the Moment framework gives audiences a way to trace what’s driving the pattern back to its origin, back to the younger self who created it, and heal it there, where it started.

They’ll leave with a reusable practice that changes how they show up — for themselves, their teams, and the work.

Areas of Expertise

No One Escapes Childhood
The Heal the Moment Keynote

Jill’s flagship talk walks audiences through the science of how childhood experiences live in the body, why high-functioning people are often the least likely to recognize their own unhealed wounds, and how the PAUSE framework creates a path forward in real time, in the room.

Best for: All-staff events, leadership retreats, wellness conferences, mental health awareness programming

Why Smart People Keep Making the Same Mistakes

Your team isn’t lacking strategy, intelligence, or good intentions.

So why do the same conflicts keep happening? Why do strong leaders derail? Why does burnout keep coming back?

Jill Sitnick reveals the biological reason that childhood experiences drive adult behavior at work — and what organizations can actually do about it.

Best for: HR leadership, executive teams, leadership development programs

The Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy Breakthroughs

The FDA has granted Breakthrough Therapy designation. Johns Hopkins has a dedicated research center. So why is the mainstream still whispering about it?

Jill brings the research out of the lab and into the room. This is the honest conversation most speakers won’t touch.

Best for: Medical conferences, behavioral health organizations, forward-thinking corporate wellness programs, HR leadership

As Seen on the TEDxTCNJ Stage
